8. The QbTest Reports

Objective:

At the end of this section the user should have a good understanding of the different types of QbTest reports available, and how they can be used.

QbTest provides 5 different report types: 3 that will be available for all tests, and an additional 2 comparison reports that are available after repeat tests. Below we will give a brief explanation of each report.

The Standard report

The Standard report uses graphs to illustrate the outcomes for the most important parameters, as well as Q-scores and percentiles to demonstrate how the patient’s performance compares to the norm group. The Standard Report should always be the starting point for any interpretation since it provides an overview of the patient’s performance.

It is also by examining the first quartile of the attention and impulse control graph, that the clinician will be able to evaluate whether the patient has understood the task and therefore if the test is valid. This report and its parameters have also been explained in detail earlier on in this course.

The Detailed Assessment report

The Detailed assessment report provides additional information to help analyze the patient’s performance. This report shows the Q-scores for the three Cardinal parameters as described earlier. In addition, graphs and Q-scores for each parameter and each quartile demonstrate the symptom progression over the duration of the test.

The report also contains Q-scores for additional parameters such as Conditional Activity, LongestPassivity, NormCommission and DprimeMod.

A detailed description of these parameters can be found in the QbTest Technical Manual and will be discussed in the Intermediate Interpretation module.

The Assessment report – patient

This report gives a short description of the patient’s test results compared to the age and sex -specific norm data. Activity and Attention and Impulse Control graphs, for both patient and norm group, provide a visual illustration of this comparison. This report is particularly helpful as a basis for discussion with patients, caregivers, teachers and/or healthcare personnel.

The Treatment report – Clinic

This report displays a clear comparison between two tests for the same patient based on the Cardinal parameters. The upper part of the report compares the activity parameters and the lower part of the report compares the attention and impulsivity parameters. The red diamond shows the Cardinal Q-scores for test 1 and the yellow diamond shows the Cardinal Q-scores for test number 2.

There is also a graph showing the comparison between the two tests for each parameter – the red and yellow bars present the Q-scores for each individual activity parameter for the 1st and 2nd test. A full description of this report will be included in the Intermediate Interpretation module.

The Treatment report – patient

This report shows the patient’s area activity graph, and attention and impulse control graph, for two different tests, giving a clear visual comparison of the patient’s performance on two occasions. This comparative report is useful for sharing with patients and caregivers to demonstrate and discuss treatment effects.

All of these reports can be retrieved for your patients after logging in with your username and password on the Qbtech laptop or by accessing the Administration Tool from your office computer at: https://eu-qat.qbtech.com/ .
